Everyday, someone will ask me, “So, what IS CrossFit?”
CrossFit, by definition, is: constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity.
Basically, we train for the unknowable.
Fitness should translate easily into your everyday life. Being physically fit should help you perform even the most mundane tasks with ease. For instance, do you struggle to lift that 50 lb. bag of dog food into and out of the car? Are you able to change that flat car tire by yourself if you needed to? Would you even be fit enough to go get help if that flat tire happened in the in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone service?
Or, what if there were a house fire? Would you be fit enough to get your family out and to safety? A situation like this requires the strength to lift heavy objects, the lung capacity to do so quickly, and maybe most importantly, the confidence to know that you could do it.....do you have it???
Maybe you would just like to be fit enough to play in the yard with your kids. Either way, why sit on the sidelines of life???
