In case anyone has forgotten the real reason for Memorial Day, we are doing a hero WOD today.
It's not about the BBQ, the lake time or the day off of work. It's a day to reflect on and remember those who have fought and/or given their lives so we can live freely in this great country.
We all have known or lost someone in the military, so please take time out today to honor them in some way. Say thank you, plant flowers in memory, or go pay your respects. These brave men and women deserve at least that. Thank you for all that you do for our country!
MURPH
For time:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor". From here on it will be referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
